The bite is still relatively slow on Lake Leelanau. I truly believe the earlier you start the better. Our outing was a "Test the boat day" and Mike came along for the ride. Mike and I ended up catching some great eater size walleye, a short pike, and some perch. Water temps were 75° and we had to end the trip a little early due to weather (we missed "golf ball" size hail about a mile north of us)! The fish we caught were in 10'-13' fow near weeds and scattered. Still finding crawfish in the bellies of the walleye.
