I have been blown away by Douglas Outdoors. I love their products and I love their staff and customer service. This is a rod review of the XMatrix 6’10” MLF spinning rod that they make. Here are the all the positives:

1. Ultra sensitive feel. Soft tip. Super lightweight.

2. Love the fast action for drop shotting. The rod loads quickly and is great for absorbing big head shakes and quick strong moves that smallies make.

3. Beautiful design.

4. Super comfortable handle.

5. Rods of this caliber typically cost more than $299.

6. Awesome warranty. Unfortunately I’ve had to use their warranty. As a guide I have all kinds of crazy stuff happen in my boat. All of my warranty claims have nothing to do with the quality of the product, but what we call operator error. The guys are great - they have a $50 warranty program and the new product shows up very quickly.
