What to Bring
We have all the tackle/gear you need…
Here’s what you need to do/bring to have a successful time on the water…
A valid fishing licence (buy it online and email yourself a copy).
A good hat and sunglasses. Sunglasses serve a double function of protecting the eyes from the sun and from hooks.
Food and water. (Can I bring an adult beverage? I do allow people who are of legal age to drink within moderation. Please no drunkenness - misses the point of the fishing being the fun and therapy and increases the risk of someone getting hurt.)
Please put sunscreen on before getting on the boat and wash hands. Sunscreen breaks down fishing line.
Leave the GPS in the car. I don’t allow people to hit waypoints on the spots we fish.
For safety reasons, I don’t allow swimsuits on the boat. I have had many charter captains share horrendous stories of hooks flying out of fish. I want to protect my clients as much as possible.
I don’t allow smoking on the boat - again for safety reasons.
We practice selective harvest. Our encouragement to you is to keep “eaters” and release prime breeding stock.
Bring warm clothes and rain gear. Even in mid summer, weather can change quickly and there’s nothing worse than being cold on a trip.
Please communicate any expectations you have at any time before the trip. We will do our best to help meet your expectations!
