July 1 Lake George

Seeing and catching lots of suspended fish.  Best smallies still in 30-40 fow close to the schools of perch.  My son caught a perch and as he was reeling it up a big smallie clamped onto it.  Tried to net both but were unsuccessful.  Most mid lake humps not super hot for smallies just yet.  Deeper flats adjacent to shoreline good.  Seeing some evidence of insect life.  70-73 degree temps.

Caught fish south of Silver Bay out near the ranger island.  Perch are still everywhere.  Drop shot rig is the way to go.  The plastics we're using are trigger x probe worms (baby bass) and meathead pumpkin that Zoom makes.
