Garmin Livescope: Greatest Influence of 2022 (and probably all-time)

Proofs in the pudding: those are all walleyes!

The more I use this technology, the more I learn about the fish I’m trying to catch and the more fish we put in the boat. It’s absolutely crazy good stuff that has transformed the way I think about fish and the way that I fish. We caught more smallmouth bass and lake trout on Lake George, and more walleyes, smallies, pike, crappies, gills, and perch in Michigan than ever before.

Location is huge to fishing and Garmin Livescope enables the fisherman to see fish better than ever before. And not only find fish, but also see how they react to the different presentations I throw. I had experience after experience where I found fish and pummeled them (we let more fish go than ever before). We would see fish scatter after catching one out of the school only to pan around and find where they moved to. I had days where I literally catch fish on every cast and more often then not I would know what kind of fish I was casting to.

I rigged my boat with the LVS32 - one on the bow and one on the transom. Found both to be super helpful. I’m still in process of setting a third option up for the fisherman in the back of the boat to be able to have a pole mount to be able to hunt fish out the back of the boat.

At the end of the day, I couldn’t recommend Livescope with any more passion than I do. People have said it was a game changer and that is an understatement. It has transformed the world of fishing more anything else. And I tell everyone on my boat and at my seminars the same thing; because we have this technology, we have to get really good at catch and release fishing. It is imperative to be way more conservation minded than ever before. So after you put one (or two) on your boat, make sure we step up letting fish go and we’ll see you on the water!
