Spooning up Lakers

With the heat wave that moved through, our water temps on Lake G shot up from 65 to 75 degrees in a matter of days. That's good and bad. The good is that it will move us into our summer pattern. The bad is that I think a quick change like that makes the fish a little funky.
We had an hour and a half to fish yesterday, so me and my friend Trevor went jigging lakers. I quickly caught two shakers (12-15" fish) and then he slammed a beauty!
Gold jigging spoons were the trick! Couldn't do squat on plastics and jigheads. More to come on the fishing on Lake George as things roll out!
