Want to become more efficient on the water? 3 Super Helpful Storage Hacks

I can’t tell you how often I would go to reach for a crankbait and end up with a handful of baits all mangled together! Super frustrating and really a huge time waster while I’m trying to catch fish. So what I’ve got for you is a short video giving you THREE quick tips on how to avoid this mess:

Are you ready for the 3 tips?

  1. Employ the rubber band trick: Wrap all your crankbaits with rubber bands. You can buy different size rubber bands and customize based on the size of the crankbait. You want to make sure to secure all trebles in the rubber band. By securing the trebles, you will be able to select one hard bait without pulling every bait with it.

  2. Keep your hooks from rusting: Save all the desiccant packs you get from different products (often come in furniture, clothing, electronics, etc). Add a pack to several compartments to keep trebles from rusting.

  3. Buy Waterproof storage: Buy storage that has a seal to create a waterproof system. I transitioned all my boxes over to Plano’s waterproof storage boxes. Even in the driest of compartments, you still get condensation and moisture. And unchecked moisture will destroy hooks.

These storage hacks have been ones I’ve gleaned from others and they’ve made a huge difference in my fishing experience. Buy some rubber bands, save the little desiccant packets, and upgrade your boxes to waterproof ones and you won’t have worry about your hardbait investment being a mess or getting destroyed by water!
