Garmin Customer Experience: GOAT
So I’m in Florida, fishing saltwater for the first time with my 2022 Skeeter SX2250. And I’m crazy anal about cleaning the boat off after ever time I used it. I actually booked the place where we stayed because it had an amazing lift and boat cover. And so after every trip, I follow this long cleaning protocol.
About 10 days after launching in saltwater, I begin to notice some weird things happening with my Force trolling motor. Just weird stuff that I’ve never experienced before. And then I start to notice some water in the control panel…and all I can think is, “that’s never good.” And I’m running out to fish offshore, and I get to my spot and deploy my trolling motor and it’s dead. Nothing I can do works to revive it.
Now the reason this really sucks is that my son was flying down the next day for a week of fishing. And I don’t have a trolling motor that works.
So I have a couple of conversations with the guys at Garmin (and I have always had incredible experiences with customer service at Garmin). They trouble shoot the issue and get this…THEY OVERNIGHT ME THE PART to fix my problem!!! I get it by noon the next day and I’m back in business.
The irony of my trolling motor dilemma is that all my other friends had trolling motor issues during that same time frame. However, mine was resolved in what felt like a moment.
A huge thanks to Garmin for helping resolve my issue and taking such good care of me! I’m so thankful to be a Garmin guy.
