Incredible Fall Walleye Bite

We have had an amazing fall ever since returning from our summer guiding at Lake George, NY. I really owe my success to my tools - my Garmin Livescope LVS 34 is an incredible fish finding machine. You increase your odds tremendously when you cast on or near fish. Here are a few secrets to our success:

  1. Figure out how to make ultra long casts - fish don’t like to be real close to the Livescope.

  2. Master a handful of techniques: Jig/plastic, slip bobber/leech, drop shot and plastic.

  3. Practice selective harvest: We released 50% or more of our legal fish this year.

  4. Stay on fish. Location is everything. You can’t catch fish that aren’t there.
