Last day on the water before ice up? Nov. 10 Coldwater and Long Lake

Looked like we might only have one more day before the weather turns and so we ran down to Coldwater to pick up my boat and fish Coldwater Lake.

Wind was howling out of the south at 15-20 mph when we arrived on the lake.  We started throwing jerkbaits and caught a big crappie and 5 largemouth, all undersized.  We decided to fish Long Lake, as it connects with Coldwater and was this a great move!  We ended up pounding the largemouth.  Water temps were 47-48 degrees.  We fished the windblown shore and ended up with over 20 largemouth.  Fished X raps in Perch, Ghost and Albino Shiner.  All seemed to catch fish.  Micah ended up with the biggest fish - two largemouth that were probably 2.5 and 3 lbs.  Great way to end the season!
